# Delete account

This page explains how to delete your account with **WorldViews**, the app of **WorldViews UG (haftungsbeschränkt)**, and what happens to your data.

## In the app

1. Open WorldViews and sign in.
2. Go to **Settings → Account → “Delete account”**.
3. Confirm the deletion. If your last sign-in was some time ago, we ask you, for security, to sign in again first.

Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone.

## Without the app

Send an e-mail to **[privacy@worldviews.ai](mailto:privacy@worldviews.ai)** with the subject “Delete account”, and do so from the e-mail address of your account. If you signed in with Apple and hid your e-mail address, please tell us your display name and the date of your registration. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm this to you.

In the same way, you can request that we delete individual data without closing your account.

## What is deleted

- your profile with photo,
- your own messages and voice recordings,
- your preparation and reflection, “My Views” and your own result cards,
- your practice talks,
- open invitations and requests, blocks,
- the device identifiers for notifications,
- your credit and your customer record at our service provider for purchases,
- your access to the feedback board,
- your sign-in account.

## What remains and for how long

- **Messages from the other person and from the mediator:** They remain with the other person. The talk shows a note that your account has been deleted.
- **Shared result cards:** They remain with the other person, with “Deleted account” instead of your name.
- **Reports** by you or about you: at most 12 months, to protect other users.
- **Proof of your consents and of the age confirmation:** 3 years, without name and e-mail address.
- **Backup copies:** They are overwritten after 98 days at the latest.
- **Purchase and billing data:** at the app stores, at our payment partner and, where the law requires it, with us for up to 10 years.

## Active subscription

Deletion does not end a subscription. Cancel it beforehand where you took it out: in the subscription settings of the App Store or of Google Play, or on the web at [worldviews.ai/cancel](https://www.worldviews.ai/cancel?hsLang=en). Otherwise, subscriptions taken out via Apple or Google continue to run and continue to be charged. Purchased credit expires upon deletion.
