Community Rules
Last updated: 13 October 2026
WorldViews is made for talks that quickly go off the rails elsewhere. Here you may disagree, clearly and even uncomfortably. What is not allowed is attacking people. These rules apply to all talks, topics, profiles and practice talks. They are part of the Terms of Use.
How a talk succeeds
- Talk about views, not against people. Criticise what someone says, not who someone is.
- Listen and ask questions before you disagree.
- Respect boundaries. If the other person does not want to go deeper into a topic or wants to end the talk, respect that.
- Protect what is private. Share contact details only with people you trust. WorldViews never asks for them.
- You can leave at any time. You may end any talk and block any person without explaining yourself.
Contentious opinions are allowed, including those that others consider wrong or offensive, as long as they do not break any of the following rules.
What is not allowed
- Harassment or insults: demeaning, verbally abusing, humiliating or pressuring someone, or not leaving them alone despite being asked to.
- Threats or violence: threatening, glorifying or calling for violence; intimidating or blackmailing someone.
- Hate or discrimination: degrading people or denying their dignity because of origin, skin colour, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age or similar characteristics.
- Sexualised content: sexual innuendo, solicitations, images or texts. WorldViews is not a place for flirting or dating.
- Protection of minors: WorldViews is for ages 18 and over. Any sexualisation of children and adolescents, any attempt to initiate contact with minors and any depiction of abuse is prohibited and leads to immediate, permanent suspension and to a report to the authorities. More on this in our Child Safety Standards (worldviews.ai/child-safety).
- Other people's private information (doxxing): sharing addresses, phone numbers, employers, photos or other private details about third parties without their consent, or threatening to do so.
- Spam or advertising: advertising, chain letters, recruiting for organisations or businesses, requests for money, attempted fraud.
- Illegal content: anything that violates the law, for example incitement to hatred, calls to commit criminal offences, terrorist content or the infringement of other people's copyrights and personality rights.
- Other rule violations: impersonating another person, evading a suspension with a new account, encouraging others to self-harm, misusing the reporting function, technically manipulating the platform.
These rules also apply to profile details, topics and voice messages.
Reporting and blocking
In the app: On every message from the other person and in the profile you will find “Report”. You can also report contributions by the AI. Choose a reason and, if you like, write a sentence about it. The reported message is hidden for you immediately. With “Block person”, the talk ends for both of you, without any indication of who ended it; you will no longer be matched with each other.
Without the app: Anyone can report illegal content to us by e-mail to support@worldviews.ai. So that we can review it, we need: what you are reporting and why you consider it illegal or against the rules, where we can find it (for example date, topic, display name), your name and your e-mail address, and the statement that your information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
What happens next: You receive a confirmation of receipt. A human reviews the report as quickly as possible, as a rule within 24 hours. We then tell you how we decided. The reported person does not find out who made the report.
What we do about violations
Depending on severity, we hide content, end a talk, restrict functions, suspend an account temporarily or permanently, or terminate the contract. A suspended account can read its talks and delete the account, but can no longer write anything.
Automatic check: New messages are automatically checked by an AI for serious violations and for emergencies. In talks with strangers, the AI can hide a message containing a serious violation from the other person; it reports it to us for review. An account is never suspended by the AI, but always by a human.
Reasons and complaint: If we hide something of yours, end a talk or suspend your account, we tell you what we did and why. If you think a decision is wrong, write to support@worldviews.ai within six months. A human reviews it again. This also applies if you reported something and do not agree with the outcome.
Authorities: Where there is suspicion of a criminal offence that threatens a person's life or safety, and in the case of depictions of child abuse, we inform the competent authorities.
If you are in distress
